Dr. Milspaw’s extensive training in psychological assessment and her multicultural competence enable her to effectively work with diverse populations. Her dissertation explored cultural variations in the use of humor in healthcare settings.
With 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Milspaw has worked and trained in various settings, including family-based, community mental health, and partial-hospitalization settings. She has extensive experience working with children, parents, and families. Her pre-doctoral internship involved intensive in-home work with families grappling with trauma and severe mental illness.
After completing her doctoral training, Dr. Milspaw continued her work in private practice, providing support to children and families. Notably, she has been recognized for six consecutive years as the best psychologist in Camp Hill, PA. She adopts a client-centered approach, tailoring her interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. Dr. Milspaw’s warm and directive therapeutic style ensures that her clients leave their sessions with practical tools they can use immediately.
Dr. Milspaw is actively involved in the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA) and serves as the chair of the Child and Family Forensics Committee. She also played a pivotal role in the Pennsylvania Taskforce on Supervised Visitation, leading the development of a free training video and accompanying paperwork for families and children in need of supervised visitation.
